We guarantee that Gigi’s Cupcakes will make you ask: Magnolia who?
Their name says Gigi’s but really they’re two sisters. They approached Suburb to help them launch their brand. In researching the category we discovered that bakeries don’t tend to use good photography. This was an obvious opportunity. Thanks to the camera work of Stephanie Goralnick, some nice copy by Jenny Eggers and a fair amount of 100% magenta and 100% black, Gigi’s Cupcakes is a clean system in a mostly frilly world.
We created the logo and tagline, the usual corporate identity materials, order forms, advertising and of course the website.
Gigi’s are available only through delivery so the web presence was especially important. Besides creating a delicious brand presence and telling the Gigi’s story, the website needed have a very clear e-commerce stage. With their numerous flavors, toppings and decorations, Gigi’s Cupcakes are available in an almost limitless variations. The site explains this in clear detail and then walks a customer through the ordering process logically and simply.
